Odyssey and The Girl Scouts
With a long-standing facilitation relationship, Odyssey for Youth and The Girl Scouts of Northern California are proud of the programs that we co-create. With the recent addition of our own Girl Scout, Marley Hudson, we have reinvigorated our commitment to facilitating life changing experiences for The Girl Scouts. We are working closely with Northern California Troops to deliver the Girl Scout Journey’s in a manner that is true to their brilliant curriculum while interweaving the activities and initiatives that have put Odyssey for Youth on the map.
What do the Girl Scouts learn?
Odyssey for Youth is happy to create and deliver programming for a full Journey that can be applied to multi-leveled groups, or the traditional single age group. We work closely with The Girls Scouts of Northern California to ensure our programs meet the Girl Scouts' standards, and at the end of every Journey, the scouts will have the opportunity to complete their "Take Action" project. The Girl Scout Law of being honest and fair, friendly and helpful, considerate and caring, courageous and strong and making the world a better place is a theme woven into each of our Girl Scout Journey’s.
Here are some photos from programs we facilitated with the Girl Scouts in 2017 - 2018.
We take advantage of our wonderful natural surroundings when we design the activities that will meet the standards required to advance the participants through the earning of badges. We love to get outdoors at Richardson Springs in Chico, CA, in Paradise, CA, where our Ropes Course is located, as well as several other state and local parks and wilderness education facilities.
Here are a few pictures from our Horay for Animals journey at Richardson Springs. The goats were as excited to see us as we were to see them!
Here are a few pictures from our most recent Journey. These Girl Scouts sure are having fun while learning life lessons and growing strong together!
